We have been working with this Kenyan weaving group for many years, and we make it a priority to meet and connect with these women in person whenever possible. By supporting these artisans, we aim to strengthen the bond between the makers and buyers, and showcase the value of handmade crafts.
These skilled artisans are experts in creating vibrant colors through hand dyeing, and their meticulous weaving is truly impressive. They have learned the art of weaving from the female elders in their families and communities from a young age. With your support, we can help these women pass on this traditional African craft to future generations, ensuring that it continues to benefit communities for years to come.
