You can also use them as planters for your house plants. Instead of traveling to sell their baskets in Nairobi, the weavers now have regular work from The Basket Room. After completion, the baskets are stored in mud huts and shipped to us.
By buying these baskets, you support women's empowerment through trade. The weavers primarily work during the dry seasons, relying on farming and rainfall for their livelihoods.
