From South Africa

with Character

At Goosebump, we select pieces with craft, clarity, and character.
Project Dyad blends bold silhouettes with quiet details, handmade in Cape Town using premium leathers. Each bag is small-batch made, ensuring quality and individuality. These are not just bags — they are companions that grow more beautiful with time.

The Story

“Dyad” means two in dialogue — contrast and balance. Every bag is crafted in Woodstock, Cape Town, where modern design meets handcraftsmanship.

Material & Craftsmanship

At Project Dyad, every bag begins with the material. We use genuine cow leather, sourced locally from tanneries around Cape Town — a by-product of the meat industry that finds new life in design. This leather is chosen not only for its durability, but also for the way it evolves: with daily wear it develops a natural patina, a surface that tells the story of time and use.

The making is as considered as the material. Each piece is handmade on a small scale in our Woodstock studio, where skilled artisans cut, stitch, and finish every bag. Some designs feature vegetable-tanned leather, which carries visible marks and scratches — reminders that this is a living material, meant to change and grow more beautiful with age.

From the first cut to the final polish, the process reflects a dialogue between modern design and traditional craftsmanship.
