NIA’S HOME STUDIO / NIASKI BRAND PHOTO05 / A HOME CAN BE A CREATIVE START
British illustrator Nia Gould adopted several rescue cats and named them after famous artists. In 2015, she launched Niaski from her home studio in Devon, bringing her love of cats and art together.
Familiar art styles, wordplay and feline expressions became her creative language. From early handmade tote bags and greetings cards, the brand grew into art prints and illustrated little objects.
06 / MAKE SPACE FOR YOUR OWN IDEAS
A home is more than how much you can fit into it.
It is a place to gradually develop your own taste.
Beside a desk, on a shelf or on a little wall. You do not need much space to give an artwork a lovely place.
Begin with a yellow, green or pattern you have not tried before. See how your favourite artwork works with the wood and fabrics already at home.
Pause and look at the cats, flowers and little details. Art can be a small everyday invitation: look again, and imagine a little more.
